Introducing The Yard Galway

(Drum Roll) Ladies & Gentlemen, may we introduce to you Galway’s newest eatery The Yard39923918_301669317079352_3984091885168754688_n

To say we’re excited about this one would be a massive understatement. The Yard, situated at The House Hotel, opened it’s door towards the end of July. Serving a variety of foods, they are the next place you need to start a date night in. One of the most exciting aspects of this place is their take on your favourite dishes. Take the below image as an example for starters, a bag of nachos! 39921127_301670610412556_3385658964942258176_n

The other aspect I’m very excited about is their cocktails. Created by their team of highly skilled mixologists, you’ll instantly add The Yard to your list of places to go for a few post work drinks.38292873_283922942187323_4555338362491240448_n

This leads us perfectly onto the fact that we have dinner & cocktails up for grabs on our Instagram page. We’ll be picking a winner tomorrow so don’t miss your chance to enter! The Top 5 Pizza Places in Galway

It is fair to say that in Galway we are blessed with an amazing amount of wonderful restaurants. Throughout the city and it’s outskirts, you’ll find something for everyone to enjoy. Pizza is a firm favourite treat for most people, ourselves included, so we have put together this list of the ‘Top 5 Pizzas Places in Galway’. They are, in no particular order;

1. The Dough Bro’s Wood Oven Fired Pizza

No discussion around the best Pizza in Galway would be complete without The Dough Bro’s. Now entering their 5th year of business, the story of how Eugene & Ronan set up their now famous business is one we’re all familiar with. Thier Pizza is legendary, as is their unbeatable customer service and charm.IMG_1906

2. Pizza Napoli

If you have ever ventured to Galway’s Latin Quater on a night out, you will surely have stopped off at Pizza Napoli afterward. Not to be confused with a typical place you only visit after a night on the town, Pizza Napoli are specialists at what they do. Each slice is a mammoth portion in itself and you can take it with you and sit at the Spanish Arch on a nice day. 35742274_2134851853400820_3213784355260334080_o

3. Fat Freddy’s Restaurant

With 30 years in business, you’ll struggle to find a restaurant more steeped in Galway tradition than Fat Freddy’s. Generations have been raised here, marriage proposals a regular occurrence and some of Galway’s finest Chefs have started out working here. While they offer a variety of other foods, their best selling dishes would be their Pizzas. They also do Vegan Pizzas if you’re that way inclined. 37778261_2020093704690136_538002335234785280_n

They also run a Birthday Club every month through their social media where you can get yourself a free dessert on your birthday when you buy a main.

4. Crust Bucket

The new kid on the block, Crust Bucket offers you the chance to eat on a double-decker bus! Situated in the beautiful Beer Garden of Carroll’s Bar, Crust Bucket’s menu contains a mixture of flavours and combinations. With their large selection of beers, it’s the perfect stop off on a Friday evening to get the weekend started.header-image
